Established 2008, with almost 100 years’ experience between us

Islandmagee Painting & Decorating is run by Ken Sives, who has a qualification in Decorative Finishing & Industrial Painting Occupations (Construction) from the CITB and holds a current Construction Skills Registration. He has many years’ experience in the industry, working across both Scotland and Northern Ireland, and has also completed courses in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and in the prevention of Covid-19 (Coronavirus).

Ken was also nominated as a Finalist in the 2021 Larne Business Excellence Awards.

Caolán joined us in August 2018 and is a great asset to our team. He has a great eye for colours, and ideas of what a room will look like if we apply certain colours in specific areas, which is very useful to customers who are undecided on their choices! Caolán holds a current Construction Skills Registration.

He is involved with the pricing and estimating on new work, and whilst on site, he is often found clambering on roofs or painting chimneys for us (because he says we’re too old!)……

Outside of work, Caolán is a very keen triathlete, having completed many Ironman, ultra-marathon and triathlon events.
